Colorado Bankers Life Insurance – Wisconsin Insurance Security Fund (Guaranty Association) Coverage is transitioning on January 1, 2026.
On December 15, 2025, the Wisconsin Insurance Security Fund (the Fund) along with other state guaranty associations, entered into an agreement that will place responsibility for Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company (CBL) life policies and annuity contracts with Continental General Insurance Company (CGIC) effective January 1, 2026. Please note, under this agreement CGIC is assuming the Fund’s policy coverage obligations, which may differ from your original CBLIC policy coverage. This communication was sent to affected policy and contract holders.

Through December 31, 2025, the Wisconsin Insurance Security Fund will continue to handle policy and contact claims, surrenders or exchanges of covered Colorado Bankers Life Insurance policies.
